DCYAA is live: introducing Dyer County Youth Athletic Association

A new youth athletic organization for Dyer County, built on transparency, safety, and the belief that every kid deserves a chance to play.

Today we are formally launching the Dyer County Youth Athletic Association — a Tennessee public-benefit nonprofit dedicated to providing youth athletic programs to the kids of Dyer County and the surrounding communities.

Why now?

We need more access for the youth of our community to participate in tackle football. We have two good programs now in Northview and Dyersburg, but the Three Oaks area has alot of young athletes that need an opportunity.

We feed the Dyer County Choctaws tradition.

What we are launching with

For the 2026 season, DCYAA is fielding three Three Oaks Junior Football teams:

  • 2nd / 3rd grade combined squad (developmental squad model)
  • 4th grade
  • 5th grade (recruiting — spots open)

Cheerleading is in the planning phase for 2026 with a coordinator already identified.
