About DCYAA
Dyer County Youth Athletic Association is a Tennessee nonprofit dedicated to giving the kids of Dyer County and surrounding area a place to play youth sports. We coach the fundamentals, hold ourselves to real standards, and put the kids first in every decision we make.
We’re brand new — founded in May 2026 — and we’re moving fast. Football is up and running for the 2026 season with three teams covering grades 2 through 5. Cheerleading is in the planning stages. Other sports may follow based on what the community wants.
Why we built DCYAA
Dyer County is big, and there are good youth athletic organizations already serving the community. But between the geography and the sheer number of kids wanting to play, not every kid has the chance to take part in what already exists.
Every kid deserves a chance to play. That’s it.
What we stand for
- The kids come first. Every decision, every dollar, every practice. If it doesn’t serve the kids, we don’t do it.
- We’re transparent with our financials and business. Sponsors, parents, and the community can see what we’re doing and how we’re funded.
- Every coach is background-checked. No exceptions.
- Every coach is certified in CPR, First Aid, and the safety standards for the sport they coach — USA Football Heads Up for football, USA Cheer Youth Safety for cheer.
- Every athlete has a current sports physical on file before they participate.
- All equipment meets or exceeds industry, sport, and federal safety guidelines.
